I need to request plans for an emergency department and need to make sure I ask for the right documents
I am interested in seeing the layout of the hospital e/r

Thank you for your questions,
There are two things you need to know when it comes to finding the right information from architectural drawings; when and where.
Drawings are made at various points during the design/ construction process and information change continuously the entire time, which means that you will need to look on the correct set to get the most accurate set of information. Conveniently, on the title block of each drawings is a box labeled “Revision” which will tell you this information. What you need to look for is drawing labeled “as built”, this will be the final set provided to the owner showing what was actually built.
For general layouts you should refer to the Construction Plan, this drawing will tell you the location of walls, side and type of doors and general dimension information.
