EZarchitecture podcast is a project we started to provide information on architecture and architecture related issues on a regular weekly basis.

In This week’s episode; Hsiang and Guido talks about the secret Dream Closet project.

We started the podcast by talking about the latest going on in the NYC architectural world. We discussed the newly completed skate park on the West side. Here’s an article from Architect Newspaper link. We also talked about some of the of the other recent public projects on the West side.

EZarchitecture podcast is a project we started to provide information on architecture and architecture related issues on a regular weekly basis.

In This week’s episode; Hsiang and Guido talked about the huge issue of sustainability in relates to architecture.

We follow up on an earlier conversation about green or sustainable design and construction. We talked about the LEED certification from USGBC link. What does it mean to be “Green”? Especially in relationship to the field of architecture and construction. We talked about the general goals and approaches of the green movement and how Architects can be involved. We also talked about the complexity of finding a green solution.

Architect Gary Chang’s Domestic Transformer

In an earlier blog post Guido talked about the amazing sliding house link, a house design to transform the its relationship to the exterior in an wholly unexpected way. We talked about why the sliding house home is special some of the challenges designers and architects encounter building special projects like them. I just came across to a really interesting article about an special house. This is a very flexible house that changes its form when it is need it, having more shade and protection in winter, or it can be open to the light and visuals in summer. How could this house prepare to do that?
